Whole In My Heart

This is the year that my heart becomes a WHOLE lot better! I have several holes that are pretty big right now, but with Jesus doing the repairs, I know I’m in good hands.  I just have to keep from taking over the tools that He likes to use to get the job done.  When I take hold of His tools, they get lost, they aren’t used properly, or they simply get put away because I don’t want to do the work or I don’t want to deal with the pain that the repairs bring with it.   The drill, and the hammer that He uses hurt a little bit, so sometimes I ask him to stop or to let me do it.  He complies, but then I see myself in the mirror and long for the Master’s touch again because when He repairs a hole, it’s permanent and it feels great.  After he’s finished, he seals it with His redemptive love! (Ephesians 1:13)

As each repair is made,  he gives me a gift.  Do you like fruit?  I do, and this is the best fruit I’ve ever tasted.  My favorite fruit that he’s given me so far is Peace.  When I eat it, it’s really weird, because it multiples.  When it multiplies, it’s great because then I get to share it.  Other people seem to really enjoy the peace I offer them.

Another thing happens when I let him repair those holes.   I’m not as mentally or physically stressed.  When I am trying so hard to do His job, I get really tired.  My body wears out and my mind just wants to shut down.  I start to forget important things, my back aches, my head hurts, and my stomach is usually in knots.  I worry a lot and my anxiety levels are up.  So now, I’m feeling much better.  Thank you Jesus!!!!  (2 Corinthians 9:11)

It takes a lot of introspection to find all those holes that need repair, but after they are made we get to enjoy the results and don’t forget…..more fruit to share!!! (Galations 5:22)

Not only does he repair the holes, but he also does some upgrading while he’s in there.  I needed a few more rooms for some people who had recently been added into my life, and you know what!  I have more than enough room for them now.  They love it in there and I love them so much!!!  Also, when he repaired the damage from a Chronic illnesses my family faced a few years back, he added a new wing in there for other people who knock on my heart’s door needing acceptance and encouragement.  By the time he’s finished with my heart,  it will be a complete restoration through sanctification!! (1 Thessalonians 5:23) It’s a long-term commitment for Him I know, but He told me He was up for it!

It’s a good thing that he has a key, because His job requires him to have 24/7 access to my heart.  Yep, it sounds kind of crazy, I know, but I love that He lives in here with me!  Just knowing that He’s in here working everyday, makes me feel safe!  He’s also wired my heart with a new security system (1st John 4:18).  No alarm needed.  It works with His identity flowing through the electricity within my soul.  No one wants to mess with that!  Invaders beware!!!

So, my heart is on its way to becoming a whole lot better in 2018.  What about yours?  If you need some repairs, I highly recommend His work and I have His number.  Let me know.  Of course, He has plenty of references.   Probably the most amazing thing about Jesus is that you can’t pay Him for His work.  He actually paid the cost ahead of time for all of your repairs (Romans 6:23) Now, that is a reason to call Him, don’t you think?  All you have to do is open up your hearts door, let Him in and begin the journey to become whole in your heart today (Romans 12:1-2)!

Happy New Year!
