Your Prayers are Appreciated, my stress is high right now!
Hi Everyone. If you pray , I am asking you to pray for me this week. We are about to embark on a trip to Israel to see where my Savior, Jesus Christ, walked, talked, and died for my sins. It is a trip that I have always wanted to take. I never knew a year ago, when we began making plans that the situation in Israel would be as it is now. Now with the cease fire, we feel confident that we have made the right decision, but I have to tell you, my stress levels are up. We are praying for protection and for a calmness while we are there so that we can take in this once in a lifetime opportunity to engage in an experience that will be life changing for us. Please pray Christ’s peace in my heart and His courage to remove my fears. Also, that His love will shine through my life to others without having to say a word about Him because we are not there to evangelize. I pray that the songs of worship that we will be presenting to the other people on this trip will speak to their hearts.
Stress is a funny thing. It keeps you going, and it can take you down too. The physical things that stress does to my body are achy pains, and skin issues. I took precautions early and I am doing well, but it’s amazing how I can count on these particular things to happen when I am under a tremendous amount of stress. It’s not anything in particular, but it’s the what ifs that get to me. What if we get stuck there? What if, our plane has to be grounded in another country for weeks? Things like this cause my mind to race and my body to react. The tension in my shoulders and neck as I type this are pretty painful.
So, how do I fix this? Well, sometimes you just have to see it through to the other side. To walk through the door of your fears can do one of two things: It can bring the realization of your fears to life or it can put the imagination to rest. Which will it be? I don’t know, but that’s where my faith comes in and helps me just to put one foot in front of the other and do what Jesus told me to do, “go”.
Psalms 23: 4 yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil.
Looking forward to sharing my journey with you.
Praying for you all in Jesus Name.
